This topic has been addressed before, but with the continuing disregard for adhering to specifications and quality assurances it needs to be presented again.  This brings up the question of why this continues to be disregarded?

It is typical that during a booming economy new firms spring up to attempt to get their piece of the pie.  Question is: are they qualified?   How are these firms being checked for their experience and quality?  What services do they provide?  Of course, until something bad happens with the project and all the parties question each other on what happened will specs and quality be a heavy consideration on projects.

The firms that have been around for a long time are posing the question: “Why should we provide upfront assistance when ‘newer start-ups’ feed off the work of the long-term companies?”

Best to ponder these topics now rather than later.
