Many do not realize the number of total precast concrete office buildings in the Minneapolis Market area.  So why are talking about this topic?  Rocky Mountain Precast in Denver, Colorado has recently brought into the Wells Concrete Family.  The Denver market has been very successful in utilizing total precast structures and, in particular, total precast office buildings.  So what? Why aren’t more of these building types being seen in Minneapolis area?  Well, they have been.  Back in the 70’s Wells providing precast floors for the Northwestern Life Insurance Building downtown Minneapolis. There also have been 3-4 story total precast office buildings in the suburbs.  St. Cloud has a 7-story total precast structure in the old Security Federal Building.  The cost difference can be surprisingly close and the value of the inherent properties of concrete provides additional savings.  There are many more of these building in the region.  Ask your sales rep to talk more about using precast for your next project.
