Since 2013, NPCA professional staff members have traveled to West Lafayette, Ind., to offer technical information and resources for Purdue University’s Civil Engineering Senior Design Project.

On Sept. 6, Claude Goguen, P.E., LEED AP, Director of Sustainability and Technical Education, visited Dr. Robert B. Jacko’s Senior Design Project students for the fifth consecutive semester.

Goguen and co-presenter Steve Smart with County Materials Corp. provided precast concrete applications and design considerations specifically tailored to help students design this semester’s project – segment 6 of Interstate 69 in Martinsville, Ind.

In eight years, NPCA professional staff have conducted nine presentations to nearly 520 civil engineering students at Purdue University.
