3D Printing

Wells Concrete has started to use 3D printing to help drive down forming costs, which in turn helps us offer the most cost-effective panel we can to the owner.  The 3D printing is sourced from an outside vendor per the project specification and design team criteria.  Since these forms are lead time items, we meet our vendor and work through any project-specific criteria along with project schedule.

So far we have used this method to effectively form out windows for multiple projects and look forward to using with many more.  The material of 3D forms degrades much more slowly than their wooden counterparts and allows for a great amount of repetitive use, which makes it very cost-effective for the end user.  Not only are these forms versatile, the ability for more intricate design helps Wells Concrete achieve any vision the design team might have.

The project shown is Pioneer Hall in Minneapolis MN.
